I’m Jon, a portrait photographer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My work is about people — their presence, their quiet moments, their real selves.

As a Member of the Royal Photographic Society and Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, I bring both craft and curiosity to every session. My portraits have twice won Portrait of Britain and Portrait of Humanity, and have been exhibited and published internationally.

I’ve spent years photographing faces and stories — from artists and entrepreneurs to everyday people who simply want to be seen as they are. My approach is calm, collaborative, and grounded in trust. I don’t chase perfection; I look for truth, light, and a sense of connection that lasts beyond the frame.
